In complying with new federal mandates washing machines are no longer getting clothes clean after one wash. Some have suggested people will simply run two cycles on their clothes expending more energy than what the mandates aim to save. Much like religion, when environmentalist attempt to control people’s behavior all sorts of perversions emerge.
Uneccesary religion slam. We got the point.
The point was not to slam religion but to draw connections between environmentalism and religion. Traditionally environmentalist are less religious and therefore much more vulnerable to charges of behaving in a religious fashion.
You are slamming envirnonmentalists who get laws passed that require washers to be more energy efficient. You then chose to compare those crazy people to religious people. So now the main point of this comic becomes more about religion than anything else. It takes away from the main point which I thought was making fun of the fact that clothes are less clean all in the name of saving the environment. Maybe I missed it - maybe your main point was to talk about religious folk.
